I entered the Nerve Cowboy chapbook contest and last week the results came.
The person who won this year won last year. They said it was the first time in their history that that had happened.
I don't think it should have happened. Sour grapes or whatever, it just doesn't seem fair.
Too, it is a contest for prose and poetry, but every year the winner is a poetry collection. (No sour grapes here; I entered my poetry chapbook)
But I won't enter that contest again.
Buy myself some ice cream from Cold Stone with that $10 I'll be saving.
