Multiple or simultaneous

Annoys me when guidelines say they accept "multiple" submissions but ask to be notified if the story is accepted by another publication. Uh, hello. That's called a "simultaneous" submission.

Mutiple means I'm sending your publication everything I've ever written and letting you sort it out.

Simultaneous means I'm sending your publication my story at the same time I'm sending it to several other magazines. There is only a minute chance that you all will want it, and I'll just wait to see if that happens to sort it out.

For the record, I prefer simultaneous when talking about submitting work.

Other areas, multiple of course. I'm greedy like that.
